Two weeks prior to moving into an apartment, call National Grid to set up your account. Give them the date you want to start service.
Once your account is set up and you have an account number - call the SUPPLIER of your choice to set up an account with them.
Read the terms of each SUPPLIER carefully - contract length varies between 8 - 18 months.
Electric rates are high and National Grid intends to increase them over the next 5 years - Comparing rates will save you money!
